So thrilled to be featured in the new blog post over at Pattern Observer! If you are a surface pattern designer, this website is filled with so much beauty and inspiration. My guest post today is all about social media and artists. I share my thoughts on social media, how to get started and tips for growing your online following. I was the social media manager for Instagram at Pattern Observer for three years. During that time the reach and overall engagement grew at an amazing pace.  

What keeps me interested in social media as an artist? It's more than the numbers. Every day I try to use social media as a way to keep in touch with my design community. Discuss the challenges and share success stories. Make thoughtful comments on the posts by others. Share the best ideas and images that represent you. That is how your brand will survive.
